The CMS Advantage

Holistic Development & Student Wellbeing

Wellbeing at CMS Cambridge is a holistic programme that includes activities such as storytelling, music, role play, sensory engagement, and guided group conversations. These experiences encourage self-reflection, collaboration, and emotional awareness across all stages of learning.

As students grow, explore their world, and navigate academic and social experiences, wellbeing education supports the development of essential social and emotional skills.

When learners have a positive sense of wellbeing, they are more likely to feel confident, motivated, and engaged in their learning. The Cambridge Wellbeing curriculum encourages students to be active participants in their own wellbeing and that of others by reflecting on self-awareness, building positive relationships, and engaging in creative expression. It empowers learners to be safe, responsible, and active participants in an ever-changing world.

Expeditions

CMS Advantage - Expeditions

Expeditions are a vibrant component of our experiential learning programme. They are thoughtfully curated by the educators to ignite curiosity and deepen understanding beyond the classroom. The hands-on outbound learning experience provides students with opportunities to connect classroom concepts to the real world, fostering a more profound and lasting impact. Our field trips incorporate structured observation and reflection.

Students are guided to observe details, ask questions, and engage with their surroundings in a meaningful way.

Following each trip, dedicated reflection activities allow students to process their experiences, analyse what they have learnt, and connect it back to their classroom concepts. This process of observation and reflection transforms a simple outing into a powerful learning opportunity, fostering critical thinking and an enduring spirit of inquiry.
