Dr Gandhi, founder of the world’s largest city school, earned global recognition for advancing peace through education.

A visionary educationist, he advocated global citizenship, respect for diversity, and unity through transformative initiatives such as Daily Assemblies, All-Religion Prayer, Students’ Quality Circles, World Peace Prayer, and the Children’s World Parliament.

He was honoured with prestigious awards, like the Yash Bharti Award (2014), the Gusi Peace Prize (2011), and the Hope of Humanity Award from the Dalai Lama (2010), for his consistent efforts towards world peace and unity. He was also conferred the ‘Key to the City of Georgetown, USA’ in 2002 and awarded honorary doctorates by universities in Argentina, Mongolia, Peru, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

Widely respected as a thought leader, his speeches have been featured across prominent national and international platforms, influencing educators and policymakers worldwide.

For over two decades, the annual International Conference of Chief Justices of the World, conceived and organised under his leadership, served as a global forum fostering dialogue among senior judiciary members and world leaders on unity and peace.

A passionate author, reader, and orator, Dr Gandhi wrote over 28 books, including Broader, Bolder Education for the 21st Century and The Purpose of Life.

An alumna of Lucknow University and a former psychologist at the UP government’s Psychology Bureau, Dr Bharti Gandhi is the co-founder of CMS. An able administrator and leader, she has played a pivotal role in advancing social causes and convening the All-India Anti-Dowry Conference and the UP State Prohibition Conference.

She has organised several youth and children’s festivals to promote international understanding and has been regularly conducting Satsang (spiritual discourse) at City Montessori School. She has been honoured with numerous prestigious awards, including the Devi Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award for her distinguished contributions to education in India, conferred at the House of Commons, London. With over six decades of dedication, Dr Gandhi continues to inspire and lead CMS, shaping compassionate, globally minded individuals and advancing her vision of a peaceful, unified world.
