Shri Prashant Mishra is a distinguished electrical engineer from the 1992 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) and currently serves as Director (Operations) at the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC). With over three decades of experience in rail infrastructure, he has led prestigious national and international projects, including the successful planning, design, procurement, and execution of a 215 TKM railway electrification stretch in Malaysia as Joint General Manager.
His notable milestones include serving as Principal Executive Director (Electrical) at the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for over seven years, where he played a pivotal role in developing India’s first High-Speed Rail standards, establishing project and O&M organisations, and awarding major electrification contracts. He has also held key positions such as Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer at Kolkata Metro and Director/3 Phase EMU & Metro at RDSO, contributing significantly to India’s metro and rail modernisation.
