Victory March and a Grand Felicitation Ceremony Celebrating the Achievements of CMS Students
Lucknow resonated with cheers and applause as the CMS family commenced a grand Victory March and felicitation ceremony to celebrate the exceptional performance of Class 10 students in the ICSE Board Exam 2026. A large gathering, including parents, students, educators, and the CMS management, assembled near Makhdoompur Police Station to cheer on the ICSE exemplars as they marched with pride and enthusiasm towards CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus.

CMS Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, and Ms Reena Soti (Head – Quality Assurance and Innovation Department) led the march with all the campus principals, educators, students, and parents. Beaming with joy and fulfilment, the ICSE toppers celebrated the successful accomplishment of an important academic milestone, feeling energised and motivated for the opportunities that lie ahead. This march stood as an inspiring reflection of the dedication, perseverance, and discipline that remain the hallmarks of academic success at CMS.
CMS Exemplars Felicitated by Chief Guest, Shri Alok Kumar, IAS
In a grand felicitation ceremony, our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Alok Kumar, IAS (Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development & NRI Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh), honoured our students who secured outstanding scores in the ICSE board exams. Applauding the students for their relentless pursuit of excellence and unwavering determination, Shri Alok Kumar reminded them—
“Life is not a 100-meter sprint; it is a marathon. Board exams were the first sprint. There’s a long way to go. So, never slow down or become complacent because there’s a lot to be done.”
Cheering the students sitting in the audience, he further stressed, “Those who are sitting in the back don’t feel disheartened that you are not on the stage. There will be an occasion when you will also be on the stage.”
He also congratulated the girls for making their families proud and appreciated the role of parents and educators in supporting their children’s academic journey. His words resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging students to pursue their aspirations with courage, integrity, and a sense of purpose.
CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, highlighted the profound role of mentorship in shaping a child’s learning journey. She remarked that a child’s first teacher is the parent at home, who lays the foundation of character and values, while the second is the school teacher, whose influence remains significant through the formative years of education.
Emphasising that the world and educational landscape are constantly evolving, she noted the need to continually rethink and “restart” education through meaningful reforms and innovation. She further apprised the Chief Guest and parents of the progressive academic interventions adopted at CMS, including Jai Jagat Sections, competency-based assessments, AI-driven insights in report cards, and continuous upgrades in infrastructure and curriculum, all of which have contributed significantly to students’ regular attendance in school, holistic growth, and academic excellence.
