City Montessori School, Aliganj campus II was established in the year 1984 by the school’s founders, Drs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi with just two students on its rolls. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon is the President and MD of City Montessori Schools. Under the nurturing care of its first Principal, Mrs Gauri Khanna, the number of students grew at such a fast pace that within ten years, new premises were needed and the entire campus was shifted to Aliganj Sector 'O' (now known as Aliganj Campus I) while the old premises were retained and new students enrolled.
