CMS Alumnus Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit appointed next Chief of the Indian Air Force

City Montessori School (CMS) celebrates the appointment of its distinguished alumnus, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, as the next Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force. An alumnus of the CMS Anand Nagar and Rajendra Nagar Campus (1980 batch), Air Marshal Dixit will assume charge as the 29th Chief of the Air Staff on 31 October 2026, succeeding Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh.

During his distinguished career in the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Dixit has been honoured with the Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal and Vayu Sena Medal.

Expressing his happiness at the achievement, Mr Gopal Baglay, IFS (Retd.), former Indian High Commissioner and CMS alumnus, said: β€œIt’s a matter of great pride for all his classmates, friends and associates to see Ashutosh Dixit reach the summit of a brilliant career in the Indian Air Force. This outstanding officer and yet a very unassuming man from Lucknow, also the home of Sqdrn Ldr Trevor Keelor, has proved that with dedication and commitment, not even sky is the limit.”

CMS Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi, Managing Director Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and the entire CMS family congratulated Air Marshal Dixit on his appointment and conveyed their best wishes for his tenure as Chief of the Air Staff. His journey continues to be an inspiration to young people across the country.

The then principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus, Ms Sudarsh Kaur, who had taught Air Marshal Dixit during his school years, expressed her pride, saying, “For me, personally, it is a matter of immense pride that my student has reached the highest pinnacle of achievement in his field.”
