Independence Day

Celebrating the 72nd Independence Day, with great patriotism and nationalism the Pre Primary Section of CMS Gomti Nagar I was all decked up on August 14th, 2018.

The children dressed up as various National Leaders and Freedom Fighters was a treat to the eyes. They even spoke some famous lines of few of the leaders with their cute voice which was melody to the ears.

Representing the states of India the children of Nursery sang songs in the native language of that particular state. The songs ended on the famous number “Mile sur mera tumhara” representing the diaspora of the colourful nation of India and the Unity in diversity of the country.

A Hindi Elocution was also organized by the students of Kindergarten.

Principal Ma’am Abha Anant attended the entire celebration and was happy to see the participation and excitement amongst the Children.

Wishing India Happy Freedom and Happy Independence. May she shine bright and may all her citizens be happy, prosperous and successful.

Saluting India! 'Where each bud blooms in its true colours, Where each day is a celebration of unity, harmony and synthesis.' The 72nd Independence Day of our nation was celebrated by students of primary section at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, on 14th August, 2018, with great zeal and fervor.

The Principal Mrs. Abha Anant graced this occasion with her significant presence. The Head Mistress Mrs. Saba Husain addressed the students about the significance of the historic day, and urged the students to become model citizens. Various cultural programmes like Inter house Hindi Poetry recitation competition, Song competition and dance competition were conducted. The students also expressed their sentiments and aspirations for the country through a play 'Our Freedom Fighters', with the aim of developing patriotism and leadership qualities in themselves. The Head Boy, Adit Jhandiyal conducted the Country pledge whereas the Head Girl Rachita Sharma spoke about the importance of Independence day.The event ended with the announcement of results of various competitions.

The students also expressed their sentiments and patriotism through different class activities, which included craft work and bringing tricolour eatables in their lunch boxes. Indeed it was a day of joy, a day to love and show respect for our country. ‘Carried with care, coated with pride, dipped in love, soar in glory, these moments of freedom in shades of joy, Proud to be an Indian.
