Among six global finalists, only Dr. Gandhi from India and Dr. Vivienne Stern from the UK received the prestigious award. Dr Jagdish Gandhi Awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Queen’s University Belfast
In September 2021, Dr. Gandhi was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Social Science Honoris Causa by Queen’s University Belfast. The university acknowledged his six-decade-long contribution to education and peacebuilding. Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast, presented the honor, received on Dr. Gandhi’s behalf by his daughter, Dr. Nita Gandhi Forouhi, a Professor at the University of Cambridge.
Lifetime Achievement Awards
In April 2018, Lucknow University recognized Dr. Gandhi with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional services to education. Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of UP, presented the award, celebrating Dr. Gandhi’s journey from the President of Lucknow University’s Students’ Union in 1959 to the visionary founder of the world’s largest school.

Dr Jagdish Gandhi awarded the Honorary Doctorate & Diploma
Dr Gandhi was honored with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Inca Garcilaso University in Peru on October 15, 2014, in recognition of his 55 years of tireless efforts toward promoting World Unity and World Peace. Just days earlier, on October 13, 2014, the Faculty of Law at the University of San Martin de Porres awarded him a Diploma of Recognition for his significant contribution as a speaker at the conference “The Role of Judges in the Culture of Peace,” organized by the Superior Court of Lima and the university’s Faculty of Law.
