CMS Celebrates Academic Excellence at Meritorious Students’ Felicitation Ceremony 2026

Over 50 ISC achievers, Cambridge Checkpoint high performers, and NEET qualifiers were honoured alongside their parents and teachers, with two NEET qualifiers receiving cash awards of ₹1 lakh each.

City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, recognised the academic accomplishments of its students at the Meritorious Students’ Felicitation Ceremony 2026, held on 1st August 2026 in the auditorium of CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus. The ceremony honoured outstanding performers in the ISC (Class XII) Comparative Examination 2026, NEET UG 2026, and the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examination 2026, while also recognising the invaluable contribution of parents and teachers in each student’s success.

The event brought together students, families, principals, teachers and members of the CMS Management to celebrate academic achievement and reaffirm the school’s commitment to nurturing excellence through holistic education. Beyond recognising examination results, the programme highlighted the values of perseverance, disciplined effort and lifelong learning that underpin student success.

The Chief Guest, Shri Alok Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, IT & Electronics Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the Lamp of Learning before felicitating the award recipients. Addressing the gathering, Shri Alok Kumar reminded students that both success and setbacks are integral milestones in the journey of growth and should be embraced with equal grace. He encouraged them to cultivate perseverance, patience and mental resilience, use technology purposefully, pursue careers driven by passion, and remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence. Emphasising the importance of dreaming big and believing in oneself, he affirmed that lasting success belongs to those who continue moving forward with determination.

A Celebration that Began with Purpose

The day’s programme commenced with a Character-building March, in which hundreds of students, teachers and members of the CMS Management walked from Maqdoompur Police Chowki to the campus auditorium. The march reflected the institution’s belief that recognising achievement inspires aspiration and motivates students to continually raise their own standards.

Welcoming the gathering, Ms Reena Soti, Head, Quality Assurance and Innovations Department (QAID), CMS, reaffirmed the school’s commitment to developing academically accomplished, socially responsible and globally aware learners through a balanced approach to education.

An inspiring moment followed when Pranya Agarwal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, who secured the highest position in the CMS ISC Comparative Examination 2026 with an aggregate of 93.8%, administered the Students’ Pledge, symbolising the aspirations and responsibilities of the next generation of learners.

Honouring the Toppers of ISC Comparative Examination 2026, NEET 2026, and Lower Secondary Cambridge Checkpoint Exam 2026

The central focus of the ceremony was the felicitation of students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance across national and international examinations.

Highlights of the Day:

  • Harshit Verma (CMS Aliganj I Campus) and Vidisha Singh (CMS Mahanagar Campus) of the CMS Jai Jagat (JJ) Section, both of whom secured above the 99th percentile in NEET 2026, received cash awards of ₹1 lakh each in recognition of their achievement
  • Three additional CMS Jai Jagat students, Avya Dubey (CMS Rajajipuram I Campus), Ansh Verma (CMS Mahanagar Campus), and Nilay Singh (CMS Aliganj I Campus), who qualified NEET 2026 and secured between the 98th and 98.99th percentile, were presented with cash awards of ₹10,000 each
  • Pranya Agarwal, the overall topper of the CMS ISC Comparative Examination 2026, was honoured with a medal, certificate and commemorative book. In addition, 13 highest scorers, 7 campus toppers, 35 stream toppers, and 48 subject toppers each received medals, certificates and books.
  • Himanya Verma of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, who achieved a perfect score of 50/50 in three subjects in the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examination 2026, was also felicitated for this exceptional accomplishment.

Guest of Honour, Dr Pramod Singh, Executive in Residence, Engineering Graduate and Professional Programs, Duke University, USA, joined the ceremony in honouring the 35 subject toppers of the CMS ISC Comparative Examination 2026, presenting them with medals and certificates in recognition of their academic excellence. Addressing the students, Dr Singh drew upon over 25 years of global leadership in analytics, artificial intelligence and data science to emphasise that AI should be viewed as a tool to augment human capability rather than replace critical thinking. He encouraged students to use AI responsibly to analyse real-world challenges, develop practical solutions and create positive societal impact.
