CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I Makes a Splash with 50 Medals at Inter-School Swimming Competition
The spirit of sportsmanship and determination came alive as CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I students delivered an outstanding performance at the Dr Jagdish Gandhi Memorial Inter-School Swimming Competition 2026. Held on 11th and 12th September 2026 at the Swimming Pool Complex in CMS Golf City Campus, the two-day competition brought together talented young swimmers from various CMS campuses as well as other Lucknow schools. The Swimming Pool Complex in CMS Golf City was inaugurated by our Hon’ble Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh Ji, earlier this year.
The swimming competition, organised by CMS Golf City Campus, was held in memory of Dr Jagdish Gandhi, the Founder-Manager of City Montessori School, Lucknow. It offered young swimmers an opportunity to compete at a high level while developing discipline, endurance and a healthy competitive spirit.
CMS Rajendra Nagar I students made their mark with an impressive haul of 50 medals. Their tally included 19 Gold, 18 Silver and 13 Bronze medals. As a result, the campus proudly won the Overall Runner-Up Championship.

The medal tally extended across age groups, highlighting the depth of swimming talent at CMS Rajendra Nagar I. However, the achievement was about more than medals. Competitive sports teach young learners to remain composed under pressure, learn from every race and keep striving for improvement. Similarly, swimming demands consistency, stamina and mental resilience—qualities that support students far beyond the sporting arena.
The achievements of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I therefore stand as a reflection of City Montessori School’s emphasis on holistic development. Alongside academic learning, students are encouraged to explore their abilities, challenge themselves and grow through meaningful experiences.
The success also carries forward the values associated with the CMS Founder, Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi and his vision of education that nurtures every dimension of a child’s personality. As the swimmers return to training, this achievement will undoubtedly serve as both a milestone and a motivation to aim higher. We congratulate CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I students, as well as their swimming coaches Ms Pushpa Misra, Mr Madhukar Srivastava, and Mr Vinay Singh for this remarkable achievement, and wish them luck in their future endeavours.
