CMS alumni on ladder of success

Rishabh Dubey
Rishabh Dubey
ex-student of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I
English Novelist

Rishabh’s father, Dr T.P. Dubey, is a retired Indian Forest Service Officer, with a deep passion for writing, having published 23 books in English and Hindi while his mother, Mrs. Rama Dubey, is the director of Rama Publications (a National Hindi Publishing House) and also a Homemaker.

Having acquired a penchant for creative writing from his parents at home and a lot of encouragement from his teachers in school, Rishabh has developed into a fine writer himself and has written two English Novels Internationally, published in collaboration with Penguin Random House and Amazon CreateSpace. He is presently working on his third novel and planning his entrepreneurial entry into the publishing and content management business. Further, he is simultaneously pursuing the five-year technical-management programme (MBATech Year III) from NMIMS, Mumbai.

In his development as a writer, Rishabh has always felt the influence of his school teachers. He says that CMS has both directly and indirectly taught him a lot; and he has unwittingly imbibed its principles in both his personal and professional lifestyle. He says CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi taught him the real meaning of Religion. His third book, based on the intersection of the original intent of all religions, has been primarily inspired by the secular and unbiased religious opinions which he had formulated in CMS. Further, the guidance and leadership of his former Principal, Ms Manjit Batra polished his diligence, time management and decision making skills, his fearlessness and courage in departments concerning his passion, and most importantly his ability to dream. He said he would always remain indebted to her.

Recalling his last day in school, he says “One of my best friends, Saif, had secretly arranged for a guitar performance of mine on the stage that day. When I came to know of it, I was shocked and petrified. I went upon the stage, grabbed hold of the guitar and glanced through the faces of everybody sitting there. I took a moment of pause to recall the ability to play the guitar, and in that moment of silence, seeing the faces of all those friends, the faces of all the teachers who had taught me, the face of Miss Batra Madam, who had been such a great personality in my life, it all took me on a lightning speed journey of nostalgia and reminded me of each and every day I had spent in that school, all in a span of a few seconds. In that duration, I had understood that what I was taking along with me was more magnificent than I could have ever comprehended. I played my self-composed songs, and after that day, nothing has ever been able to make me afraid.”
