Position Overview

City Montessori School is looking for a dedicated and proactive IT Support Specialist to manage, maintain, and enhance the IT infrastructure at our Head Office. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless functioning of all technology systems and provide high quality technical support to staff across departments. This role requires troubleshooting, maintenance, system upgrades, and coordination with vendors, while ensuring IT security and efficient technology utilization in a multi-campus educational environment.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Act as the first point of contact for staff, handling IT queries via calls or emails
  • Diagnose and resolve portal issues.
  • Record issues, solutions, and maintain IT support logs.
  • Assist staff with basic IT usage and promote cybersecurity best practices.
  • Work with external service providers for upgrades or specialized issues.
  • Regularly check systems to reduce downtime and ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Provide trainings to staff.
  • Initiate requirement gathering communication with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Any other work may be assigned based on the business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist / IT Helpdesk / Call Center Tech Support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems and operations of various portals.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical staff effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in educational institutions, multi-campus organizations, or large office environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365.
