Rules and Regulations

  1. A team participating in the 10th IYMC Mathematica 2025 should consist of six contestants: Three from the Junior Level (13–15 years of age) and three from the Senior Level (16–18 years of age and not enrolled for an Undergraduate Programme at a College or University).
  2. Each team will have a Team Leader and a Deputy Leader, and exactly 6 contestants (3 for the Junior Level and 3 for the Senior Level). The participation of a Mathematics teacher as a Team Leader and the Deputy Leader is imperative.
  3. The competition is open only for Registered Schools. Coaching Centres are not eligible for participation.
  4. Registration Fee: National Teams will have to pay a Registration Fee of ₹2000 per participant & the International Teams will have to pay a Registration Fee of 50 USD per participant.
  5. The delegates of IYMC will be provided accommodation from early morning on 3rd November 2025, to 8:00 pm (IST) on 6th November 2025.
  6. The participants are expected to be formally dressed in their complete school uniform for the inaugural and the closing ceremony of IYMC Mathematica 2025 and for all the competitions.

  8. Each team will be provided with a unique team code.
  9. Each participating team must send ten proposed questions for both the Junior Level and Senior Level contests. Questions should be typed in English and sent in a Microsoft Word file. The ten questions should consist of five questions for the individual contest and five for the team contest. The proposed questions must be mailed to iymc@cmseducation.org on or before 15th August, 2025.
  10. All the delegates must adhere to the rules of the competition. The Team Leaders and Deputy Leaders are responsible for the conduct and behaviour of their team during the competitions.
  11. All participating teams must provide a group photograph of their team (in school uniform) along with the Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader, Principal, and their school flag in front of their school building. Please provide the names of all the people in that photograph. This will be used for the introduction of the teams at the Inaugural Function of IYMC. You can mail it to iymc@cmseducation.org.
  12. Participating teams may prepare a 2-minute Cultural Presentation for the Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony. A dance or song sequence, or a short skit in an ethnic dress unique to their country or region, will ideally suit the cultural function.
  13. The Prize Distribution will be the culminating event of the convention. The Junior Level and Senior Level competitions are independent of each other.
