Dr Jagdish Gandhi

Dr Jagdish Gandhi was an Indian educator and the visionary founder of City Montessori School (CMS) in Lucknow, India. Established in 1959, CMS is one of the largest schools in the world, renowned for its innovative and holistic approach to education. Dr Gandhi’s commitment to education has earned him recognition both nationally and internationally. Born with a strong belief in the transformative power of education, Dr Gandhi has always prioritised values such as peace, global understanding, and social responsibility. His work goes beyond traditional schooling. He has promoted the ‘Bold & Broader Education’, a model of education that nurtures children to become global citizens who can contribute positively to the world. 

Dr Gandhi has been a tireless advocate for quality education for all, regardless of socio-economic status. Under his leadership, CMS has flourished into a network of multiple campuses, offering world-class education and setting benchmarks in academic achievement. The school is also famous for its unique emphasis on imparting values of love, humanity, and unity, alongside academic excellence.

His dedication to education has earned him numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious title of “World’s Largest School by enrollment” conferred to the City Montessori School by the Guinness World Records. Dr Gandhi has also been an influential voice in promoting peace education and advocating for the rights of children worldwide.
