Mrs Shipra Upadhyay is a distinguished educationist and spiritual leader whose nearly three-decade-long association with City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, has left an indelible impact on students and educators alike. As the principal of CMS Rajajipuram II and Jopling Road campuses, she was deeply admired for her inclusive leadership, nurturing presence, and unwavering commitment to value-based education. Over the years, she successfully led several global events and flagship initiatives, such as GEOFEST International, the International Sports, Arts and Music Fest (SAM), and the VISION 2025 Summit for 1,500 CMS teachers. She played a key role in the Junior Youth Empowerment Programme (JYEP), inspiring hundreds of students and educators to embrace purposeful leadership.

An eloquent speaker and former Head of Capacity Building at CMS, Mrs Upadhyay has anchored international events with poise and grace. She has been invited to speak on inclusive education and youth empowerment at various platforms. Having served as a member of the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Lucknow for the past 25 years, Mrs Upadhyay continues her lifelong commitment to community building and youth empowerment. Her contributions, both within and beyond the school setting, reflect her profound belief that education must elevate the human spirit and contribute to the betterment of society.
