Mr Jwalant Shah, an environmental entrepreneur and technologist, is driven by a deep commitment to solving systemic environmental challenges through sustainable innovation. As Co-Founder and Director at SWAAHA, a pioneering solid waste management startup, he leads the company’s technical strategy, engineering operations, and R&D initiatives. His work encompasses a broad spectrum, ranging from designing waste-to-energy systems and biomethanation units to implementing material recovery facilities and zero-waste-to-landfill campuses. With a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Indore, he brings sharp expertise in machine design, automation, EPC project execution, and government tendering.

Jwalant’s thought leadership has earned national acclaim, including the CII National Award for Best Innovative Startup in Waste Management (2023 & 2024), the Dr Shirin Gadhia Sustainability Award, and recognition at the ET Global Smart Cities Forum. A passionate advocate for knowledge sharing, he has represented Indian innovation at international platforms such as COP28, where he continues to champion scalable, sustainable technologies for a cleaner future.
