Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli is a revered Islamic scholar, social reformer, and an eminent proponent of interfaith dialogue. Rooted in the rich Islamic learning of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama and shaped by Lucknow University’s modern academia, he exemplifies the harmonisation of faith and reason. As the Shahi Imam of Lucknow’s Eidgah and the youngest Executive Member of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board, he has led transformative initiatives in inclusive education, communal harmony, and socio-religious reform.

As the founder of the Islamic Centre of India, he has institutionalised access to free education, computer literacy, and healthcare services for underprivileged communities. He has revived the historic Madarsa Nizamia, integrating classical Islamic pedagogy with contemporary disciplines.
