Mr David E. Risley is a distinguished former U.S. federal prosecutor with over three decades of expertise spanning criminal justice, counter-terrorism, and public policy. From 2010 to 2015, he served as the U.S. Department of Justice Attaché in Cairo where he facilitated legal cooperation and capacity-building initiatives for judicial and prosecutorial institutions across the Middle East. In subsequent years, he held senior roles within the Illinois state government, notably as Director of Public Safety Policy and Ethics Officer for the Department of Transportation. At present, he hosts Justice Voices, an influential podcast dedicated to fostering informed civic dialogue and advancing thoughtful reform in the criminal justice system.
A passionate advocate for peaceful coexistence and religious freedom, Mr Risley has addressed numerous international interfaith gatherings, articulating belief in religious liberty as a foundational pillar of both spiritual and political life.
