CMS Educators Advocate International Educational Collaboration in London

At City Montessori School (CMS), our commitment extends beyond academic excellence to nurturing true global citizens. This ethos of connecting our students to the world was recently advanced by our educators on an international stage. Ms Reena Soti, Head of Senior School Reforms, and Mrs Sushama Rajkumar, Dean of the CMS Cambridge Campuses, recently concluded an eight-day academic visit to London from 19th to 23rd January 2026, reinforcing the importance of international educational collaboration for providing future-ready learning. A highlight of their visit was meeting Mr Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, where discussions centred on evolving global education needs and strengthening bilateral academic engagement.

This eight-day visit was organised under the aegis of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Association for Re-Inventing School Education (ARISE). The visit served as a proactive platform for advocacy and learning with the objective to study a broad spectrum of educational models, from historic institutional frameworks to technology-led pedagogies.

Delegates observed child-centred, holistic practices at The King Alfred School and Bedales School, examined the ‘house system’ at the famous Eton College, and analysed values-based education at Surrey Square Primary School. A key component was attendance at the BETT Global Educational Technology Conference, where our educators engaged with global peers on AI and digital learning. Academic interactions also included visits to the House of Lords in the UK Parliament, as well as to the London Science Museum and the British Library.

CMS Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi stated the experience adds a new dimension to our creative initiatives, strengthening efforts for the holistic development of students. Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon expressed confidence that the insights gained will directly contribute to providing CMS students with a world-class, future-ready education. This visit underscores our active role in shaping a collaborative global educational landscape.
