Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail – oriented Sub – Editor who is fluent in both written and spoken Hindi & English. The Sub – Editor will be responsible for writing, editing, proofreading, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of content for publication. This role requires a meticulous individual with a passion for language, grammar, and clarity, who can work well in a fast – paced environment.
Role & responsibilities
- Create, edit and proofread content in Hindi and English, ensuring grammatical accuracy, coherence and consistency.
- Collaborate with content writers and other editors to maintain high – quality editorial standards.
- Conduct fact- checking and verify sources of information.
- Work closely with the editorial team to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and language conventions in both languages.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with editorial tools and software such as MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs, and editing software.
Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in writing, editing, proofreading, or journalism.
Qualifications
Preferably a Masters degree in English/ Mass Communication
