The world today is rapidly progressing on the road to utilization, with the ever increasing number of technical applications that are used to communicate and pass on knowledge. The pandemic has grown the importance of e learning globally. So, we at City Montessori School are connecting the students to the outside world and enhancing their ability to construct new knowledge. The use of digital platforms for learning is vividly changing our education system.

E-learning is an umbrella term that is used to describe a wide variety of ed-tech ways that enable access to education, and the process in itself. CMS policies are designed with the aim of reducing the burden on parents and help teachers and students make the most of digital learning.

CMS participated in COMPUDON Junior which is a National Championship for junior School students inspired by Microsoft’s Digital Literacy Standard. In addition, the championship curriculum also covers additional content to help participants stay safe online and get an overview of new technologies. CMS secured first position in the contest three times in a row! 358 students participated from all the campuses of the CMS and among them 58 students were recognized as the National finalists. Whereas Aliya Riaz from Station road campus was Gold Medalist and was awarded with the title of India Champion of Digital Literacy. And Udbhav Tiwari from station road campus was a 1st Runner Up and Silver Medalist.

Our team implemented SAAR education in all the campuses of CMS for grade 3rd to 5th. SAAR education is a virtual learning tool that provides the teachers with lesson plans and interactive teaching tools of math subject. Students were benefited with virtual classrooms, web-based learning, computer-based learning, digital collaboration, video and audio recordings, interactive PPTs and many more.

Our team provided the technical support during the Alfa Teacher Empowerment programme held in January. The programme was conducted to provide the Alfa Training to government teachers from Unnao, Barabanki and Lucknow.

We at CMS have a Technical Helpdesk Team that serve as the first point of contact for parents, applicants and CMS staff seeking technical assistance related to Inhouse developed portals such as Vacancy portal, Admission portal, IT Assistant portal, Principal portal, Purchase portal, Workforce portal, etc. over the phone calls or Emails.

Virtual classrooms and the syllabus module were introduced keeping in mind the learning gap of the students, with the help of IT Assistants and IT Executives. Online module included NTSE & GMAT practice papers to help students have hands on and achieve success in the exams. It allows the students to explore their options before committing to any specialization.

The Digital Enablement department at CMS provides regular training about technology to the teachers that are available so they can make decisions about the tools they will use in classrooms. E learning was introduced to promote student literacy. With the development of technology and advent of websites, application and learning tools such as Tata Class Edge and Khan Academy, the users have been empowered to get education and develop advanced skills.

The Digital Enablement Team worked diligently to make the virtual learning process not only interesting & innovative but also transparent that united the parents, teachers and students by means of a single platform.
