CMS Organised University Fair Connecting Students with Over 100 Universities Across 13 Countries

This October, City Montessori School (CMS) Lucknow, organised a grand University Fair at the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium, bringing together representatives from over 100 universities across 13 countries, including the USA, Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Mauritius, India, and Abu Dhabi.

Glimpses from The University Fair

The CMS University Fair provided students with valuable insights into global study opportunities, admission procedures, scholarships and academic programmes, and helped them identify courses aligned with their interests and aspirations after Class 12.

Students interact with university representatives at the University Fair held at the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium, gathering information about admission procedures, scholarships and courses offered by leading universities in India and abroad.

This University Fair was aimed to empower students to plan their academic journeys systematically, make informed career choices and take confident steps towards achieving their future goals.

Encouraging Words by the CMS Management

Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi congratulated the dedicated CMS Career Counselling Cell for this grand University Fair.

Expressing her happiness on the occasion, CMS Managing Director, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, said that initiatives such as University Fair play a significant role in helping students recognise their abilities, evaluate educational options and give direction to their future plans.

She emphasised that, in today’s competitive educational environment, students must explore the wide range of higher education opportunities available and make informed decisions at the right time.

Exploring Global Higher Education Opportunities

This University Fair familiarised students with the Advanced Placement (AP) Programme and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and helped them understand key pathways to international higher education.

What is AP and SAT?

AP courses enable students to study university-level subjects while at school, demonstrate academic readiness and potentially earn university credit, depending on individual universities’ policies.

The SAT, meanwhile, assesses reading, writing and mathematical skills and is used by many universities worldwide as part of their undergraduate admissions process.

As an authorised SAT test centre, CMS also enables students to take the examination at the school, supporting their aspirations for higher education abroad.

CMS Students Explore Courses Aligned with Their Career Aspirations

Students from Grades 11 and 12 attended the University Fair to interact directly with university representatives and gain first-hand information about courses, admission criteria, scholarships and career prospects.

Commerce and Arts students explored programmes in business, management, humanities and social sciences, while Science students sought opportunities in engineering, medicine, technology and other specialised fields.

By comparing courses and entry requirements under one roof, students could identify suitable options, clarify admission-related queries and make more informed decisions about their higher education and future careers.

Leading Universities Share Admission Insights

Several reputed international universities and higher education institutions participated in this University Fair including, Cape Breton University, Canada; Pennsylvania College of Technology, USA; Rochester Institute of Technology, USA; University of Cincinnati, USA; RMIT University, Australia; Griffith College, Ireland; University of Leeds, England; and the Institute of European Languages, Germany, along with various prestigious higher education institutions from India.

Direct interactions with university representatives helped students clarify queries about admission procedures, course structures, eligibility criteria and scholarships.

Overall, the University Fair reflected CMS’s commitment to guiding students beyond Class 12 by broadening their educational horizons and helping them make informed decisions about higher education and future careers.
