With a heartfelt commitment to the Environment, senior students, under the guidance of Environment Co-ordinator Ms. Saba Khanam, marked the International Day of Forests by visiting Kukrail Reserve Forest. Their hands-on efforts included planting saplings of Jasmine, Hibiscus, Snake Plant, and Lemon, a symbolic gesture of sowing “Hope for a Greener Tomorrow.”
Beyond planting, the students enthusiastically engaged in a ‘plogging drive’. As they jogged through the forest trails, they diligently picked up litter, transforming a simple clean-up into a powerful lesson in responsibility. It served as a clear reminder that nurturing nature is inseparable from nurturing our own well-being.
The learning continued at the ‘Climate pe Charcha’ Seminar held at Kukrail Conference Hall. Here, students deepened their understanding of forest conservation and discovered imaginative ways to reduce waste. Practical demonstrations taught them to transform old newspapers into paper bags, old T-shirts into useful carry bags, and even chips packets into functional planters—showcasing that even small changes can carry a significant message of ‘Sustainability’.
This comprehensive experience profoundly impacted the students, solidifying the idea that even minor actions can lead to a sustainable future. Their collective efforts vividly illustrated that real change starts with simple, conscious choices—one mindful step, one planted sapling, and one act of care at a time.
