Major Achievements 2017-18

60 CMS students qualify for the Govt. of India National Merit scholarship worth Rs. 2 crore 40 lakh for Higher Education in Science @ Rs. 80,000 per year for 5 years

60 students from various campuses were shortlisted for the scholarship from the Government of India to pursue higher studies in science. Each of these students were entitled to a total of ₹ 4 lakh as yearly merit scholarship (₹ 80,000/- per year for 5 years) from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Selected candidates enrolling in Bachelor or Integrated Master's level programmes in Basic and Natural Science courses like mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry or life sciences (i.e., botany or zoology) in any university or college in India recognized by UGC India are eligible for this scholarship. These brilliant students of CMS were among 'Top 1%' in the All India merit list of the ISC Board Examination 2017.

13 CMS students qualify All India CLAT Exam-2017

Thirteen meritorious students of CMS cleared Common Law Aptitude Test (CLAT) bringing laurels to the institution. These students became eligible for admission in 18 National Law Universities of Benguluru, Kolkata, New Delhi, Lucknow, Jodhpur and Patiala for the five years degree course. The talented students who cleared CLAT-2017 included Yusuf Tariq (Rank 23) of Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Aishwarya Singh (Rank 43) of Aliganj Campus I, Jahnavi Singh (Rank 109) of Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Ayush Verma (Rank 130) of Aliganj Campus I, Shubhangi Rai (Rank 172) of Gomti Nagar Campus I, Harishankar Raghunath (Rank 195) of Kanpur Road Campus, Ananya Singh (Rank 246) of Aliganj Campus I, Shruti Bhargava (Rank 285) of Aliganj Campus I, Nishtha Tripathi (Rank 315) of Gomti Nagar Campus I, Suyash Gupta (Rank 361) of Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Pragya Singh (Rank 532) of Gomti Nagar Campus II, Vinayak Gupta (Rank 711) of Gomti Nagar Campus I and Gaurav Pandey (Rank 744) of CMS Aliganj Campus I.

Six CMS alumni selected in Indian Administrative Services (IAS)

Six students of CMS made it to the Indian Administrative Services conducted by Union Public Service Commission in 2017. The students were: Ila Tripathi (51st Rank) of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Vivek Ranjan Maitrey (164th Rank) of CMS Mahanagar Campus, Tuhin Sinha (219th Rank) of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Pankaj Kumar Mishra (414th Rank) of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Kriti Pandey (426th Rank) of CMS Aliganj Campus I and Shilpi Kannaujia (534th Rank) of CMS Mahanagar Campus. CMS family is proud of these brilliant and meritorious students who have achieved such high distinction and success by dint of their hard labour, consistent effort and immense talent.

CMS students grab top three ranks in Lucknow in IIT-JEE Advanced

Students of CMS stole the limelight grabbing the first, second and third ranks in Lucknow in the IIT-JEE Advance Examinations 2017, bringing laurels to the school. All these 3 students, Aman Tiwari, 1st rank in Lucknow, Rohan Gupta, 2nd rank in Lucknow and Sajal Chaurasia, 3rd rank in Lucknow, were from CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I. A total of 80 CMS students were selected in the prestigious IIT-JEE Advance Examinations in 2017, which is a record breaking achievement in itself.

Rohan tops the state in IIT JEE Mains



Rohan Gupta, student of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I topped in Uttar Pradesh at the IIT-JEE Mains examination 2017 raising the institution flag. Rohan secured 43rd rank nationally, bagging the first rank in UP at this examination. Aman Tiwari, another meritorious student of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I attained 217th rank nationally securing second position in Lucknow.

Dr Jagdish Gandhi honoured with ‘Shaan-e-Lucknow’ Award

CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi was honoured with ‘Shaan-e-Lucknow’ Award for his immense contribution to education and invaluable service to society by the organizers of the Lucknow Book Fair. The award was given to Dr Gandhi by Swami Nirvikalpanandji of Ramkrishna Matth at a special honouring ceremony held at the Lucknow Book Fair.

The manifold achievements of the humble Dr Jagdish Gandhi were extolled and highly applauded by the organizers as well as the onlookers. On this occasion, the book “Ideas that Empower” by Chief PRO CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma was also released at the Fair. It may be mentioned that the organizers of the Book Fair have decided to honour one distinguished personality each year for outstanding contribution to the literary world and to society and Dr Jagdish Gandhi is the first recipient of this prestigious award.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confers Swachhta Award upon CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi

Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi for his tremendous efforts in sensitizing students, adolescents and youth towards 'Swachh Bharat' mission, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented Swachh Award to him, at a grand function organized at UP Ganna Sansthan. Mr Mahendra Singh, State Minister for Rural Development; Popular Cricketer Mr R P Singh, famous comedian Mr Raju Srivastava and others were present at the felicitation function organized by National Media Club. Dr Gandhi has emerged as an icon of cleanliness campaign in Lucknow as he motivates the people of Lucknow to keep the roads clean along with CMS' 2000 teachers and staff and the 55000 students.

12 CMS students selected for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) Fellowship of Govt. of India for total Rs. 56 Lakh

Twelve outstanding CMS students were selected for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) Fellowship of the Government of India. These students were entitled for receiving the scholarship of ₹ 5000/- per month and ₹ 20,000/- as annual contingency grant during the 1st to 3rd year of graduation. This included a monthly stipend of ₹ 7000/- and annual contingence grant of ₹ 28,000/- at M.Sc. level course. Thus each student got a scholarship of ₹ 4,92,000/- during five years of higher education. The meritorious students, who were awarded with KYPY fellowship included Amol Mishra, Arpan Bhatt, Dhananjay Joshi, Divyansh Singh, Katyayan Rajmeet, Pratiyush Mishra, Shubh Agarwal, Utkarsh Gupta, Aman Tiwari and Aman Verma of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I and Sakshi Pradumn and Sanjeevni Hazra of CMS Kanpur Road Campus. This fellowship scheme is a very enterprising project of the Government of India coordinated by Indian Science Centre, Bengaluru to encourage undergraduate students to move ahead for career in research.

CMS Gomti Nagar I among top 'Future 50 Schools Shaping Success' in india

For its excellent academic achievements and the outstanding leadership qualities of its students CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I was ranked among the top 50 schools in India. Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Mrs Abha Anant was honoured with 'Future 50 Schools Shaping Success' Award at a glittering function held at the Grand Hotel in New Delhi. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; Vice-Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Mrs Yasmeen Khan and various dignitaries were also present on the occasion. The certificate was awarded by the prestigious Fortune India Publication which manages world rankings owned by Time Inc, New York on the basis of the vision and the paradigm in imparting life-changing learning opportunities for the 21st century.
