City Montessori School (CMS) invites passionate individuals to apply for a life-changing service opportunity at one of its renowned campuses in Lucknow, India. With over 60,000 students spread across 21 campuses, CMS is one of the largest educational institutions in the world. As part of its commitment to nurturing the next generation, CMS has seamlessly integrated a dedicated Junior Youth Empowerment Programme (JYEP) into its curriculum.
This is an exceptional opportunity for young volunteers to contribute to the empowerment of junior youth through education and service. Volunteers will help provide a high-quality moral education that may not otherwise be accessible to these students, fostering their spiritual, moral, and intellectual growth.
Volunteer Role
Volunteers will facilitate weekly moral education classes and junior youth groups, with each group comprising approximately 40 to 60 students. These sessions, integrated into the school’s timetable, offer a unique opportunity for volunteers to make a lasting impact. Additional roles may include acting as teaching assistants, participating in community outreach, and engaging with students who serve as animators. Volunteers will also attend study sessions and service activities organized by the Character Education & Youth Empowerment Department.
A typical day involves attending school during the day and participating in evening study or service sessions. Volunteers will have leisure time, but should remember that their actions reflect the ethos of CMS and their communities.
CMS: A Global Vision for Education
Founded on the principle that “The Earth is but one country and mankind its citizens,” CMS is dedicated not only to academic excellence but also to instilling in students a profound sense of social responsibility and global citizenship. The school fosters the development of students who are committed to peace, unity, and service.
CMS regularly hosts international conferences and events, such as the prestigious International Conference of Chief Justices (The Global Peace Congress), providing volunteers with the chance to engage in thought-provoking discussions and contribute to a collaborative vision for world peace.
