The ISCL-2025 Standard Playing Conditions for Twenty20 matches
1. Team Kit (Dress) Requirements
- Each team must have their own coloured kit (not more than two colours), including pads, gloves, cap, and dress.
- White kits are not allowed.
- The back side of the T-shirt must display the player’s number in capital letters.
- On the front left side, print the school logo, and in the centre, print the school name and city.
- Spike shoes are not allowed for batsmen (batters).
2. Duration of the Innings
- Each team will play one inning of a maximum of 20 overs.
3. Number of Participating Teams
- A total of 16 teams (from different cities and countries) will participate in ISCL–2025.
4. Strength of a Team
- Maximum 18 members per delegation, consisting of:
- 15 players (Boys under 18 years and up to Class XII are allowed).
- Foreign teams may include 2 additional U-19 players.
- Eligibility: Players born on or after 31/12/2007 qualify as Under-18.
- 1 Team Manager
- 1 Coach
- 1 Physiotherapist
- Foreign teams may form a combined country school team.
- Team officials are responsible for maintaining discipline.
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Ground
- Three grounds will be used for ISCL–2025.
- Six matches will be played daily (two day matches and one night match on each ground).
- The next team must report one hour before their scheduled match time.
- Teams should be prepared to play two matches a day, if required.
6. Format of Match
- Matches will follow a League-cum-Knockout format.
- There will be 4 pools with 4 teams each.
- Each team will play three league matches.
- The pool topper from each group will qualify for the Knockout Stage.
7. Cricket Balls
- White balls will be used.
8. Arrangement of Overs
- Each team must bowl 20 overs within 1 hour and 30 minutes.
9. Fielding Restrictions
- No more than 5 fielders on the leg side at any time.
- During the match, not more than 5 fielders may be outside the circle at delivery.
- Powerplay (first 6 overs): Only 2 fielders outside the circle.
- After 6 overs: Minimum 4 fielders must remain inside the circle.
10. Bowling Restriction
- Each bowler may bowl a maximum of 4 overs.
11. Free Hit after No Ball
- Every No Ball results in a Free Hit, in addition to 1 run for the No Ball.
12. Timed Out
- The incoming batsman must be ready within 60 seconds after the previous wicket falls.
13. Short-Pitched Bowling
- Only one short-pitched ball per over is allowed.
14. Super Over
- In case of a tie, a Super Over (6 balls per side) will decide the winner. The team scoring more runs in the Super Over is declared the winner.
15. The Impact Player
- Each team is allowed one Impact Player, who can actively bat or bowl.
16. Interval
- A 15-minute interval will be observed between innings.
17. Over-Rate Penalties
- A 6-run penalty per over not bowled will apply.
- Teams must bowl 20 overs within 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- If umpires find time-wasting, the same penalty applies and remaining overs must still be completed.
18. Tie Matches and Super Over
- In case of a tie or abandonment due to weather, a Super Over will follow.
- If the Super Over is tied, international tiebreaker rules will apply.
- Any dispute or unlisted matter will be decided by the Organising Committee and its decision will be final.
19. Net Run Rate (NRR)
- NRR = (Average runs scored per over) – (Average runs conceded per over)
- If a team is all out before completing its overs, the calculation is based on the full 20 overs.
20. League Table
- Points System: Win – 2 Points | Loss – 0 Points
- Ranking: Higher points = higher position; tie resolved by Net Run Rate.
21. Umpires
- Qualified State Panel Umpires from the U.P. Cricket Association.
- Three umpires: two on-field and one third umpire.
- Umpire decisions are final.
- Umpires may reduce overs if conditions demand.
22. Registration
- Fees: ₹70,000 per Indian team | USD 1000 per foreign team.
- Includes food, boarding, lodging, and transport to/from Lucknow Railway Station/Airport.
- Payment via Demand Draft in favour of CMS, Lucknow (no cash accepted).
- Player form and photograph must be verified by the Principal.
- Player must sign again at registration for authenticity.
- School flag and Country flag required at registration.
- Last Date: 31st September 2025.
23. Eligibility (Indian Teams Only)
- Submit group photograph with School Principal and officials.
- Submit soft + hard copies of Aadhar Card and Class X Certificate, attested by Principal.
- Provide Board registration number (CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board).
- Class XII players must have studied Class X in the same institution.

25. Stay Arrangements
- Organisers will provide food, boarding, and lodging from 13th to 19th December 2025 at the Lucknow venue. Teams should plan travel reservations accordingly.
26. General Instructions
- All participants must attend ceremonial activities.
- Morning Prayer Assembly is compulsory.
- Wear complete team dress and carry Identity Card during opening ceremony and procession.
- No participant may leave the venue once the event begins.
- The Team Leader must stay with participants throughout.
- Maintain discipline and decorum at all times.
- The Team Manager is responsible for team conduct.
- Any breach of discipline may lead to disqualification.
- The organisers are not responsible for lost valuables.
- Travel (rail/air) expenses to be borne by participants/institutions.
27. Medical, Communication & Security
- Venue will be sealed during the event with 24×7 security.
- A doctor on duty will be available round-the-clock.
- “Happy to Help” desk, telephone, fax, and mail services available 24×7.
28. Weather
- The weather in Lucknow during December is cool and pleasant, averaging 16°C during the day — ideal for cricket.
