CMS Indira Nagar campus was established in 1982 by the school’s founders, Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi & Dr Bharti Gandhi, with classes up to 6 initially. The campus now runs upto class 10 and has always striven to impart value based education to keep up with the present age demands of World Unity and World Peace.
The campus is touching new pinnacles of success under the able and dynamic leadership of its Principal Mrs Kanika Kapoor. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon is the Manager of the institution.
A plethora of activities – World Peace Festival, New Parents Evening, Model Class Presentation, Sports Activities & various Inter House Competitions are organized to ensure the overall development of students.
So powerful is the impact of the World Peace Festival organized year after year by CMS Indira Nagar on UN Foundation Day, 24 October, that the waves of repercussion resound far and wide sending ripples of peace and ecstasy from New York to Japan and from Indonesia to Norway. Contests related to peace are organized for the children and youth of the world and the campus strengthens its strong commitment to upholding the ideals of peace in a strife-torn world.
The campus has shown rapid progress. Initially started with only primary classes, the junior section was added in 1987, and in 1997, it became a full-fledged ICSE campus. Since then, it has successively nurtured the students with great care, love and affection resulting in its young talents showcasing their prowess in all fields of knowledge. Some of the bright gems of the institution are Sagar (qualified in NTSE and Singapore Airlines Scholarship), Urvashi Bundel (Working at Ritsumeikan University, Japan), Vikram Aditya Singh studying Engineering in Calgary, Canada etc. At present there are over 1600 students at this CMS Campus who are showing brilliant results in both academics as well as co-curricular fields.
The teachers at CMS Indira Nagar campus are a dedicated team constantly inspiring the students to work hard and with full concentration. The ICSE results have been par excellence and parents are fully satisfied that their children are in good and caring hands. Mrs Joshi’s far sightedness and visionary approach has been largely responsible for the high academic standards and quality teaching. She sees that each and every child learns with pleasure and develops all his hidden abilities to the maximum. Teachers follow a strict code of conduct and are role models of moral behaviour and personality development for the children. CMS Indira Nagar is like an oasis where children love to gather and young minds often ponder on global problems thinking how to make the earth greener and more peaceful.
