Convened by the

City Montessori School (World Unity Education Department – WUED)

At the heart of City Montessori School’s global vision lies the World Unity Education Department (WUED), a pioneering wing devoted to global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and peace education. The department embodies CMS’s founding vision that education must transcend academic boundaries to nurture individuals who value diversity, empathy, and world unity.

As one of the key organisers of the International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (ICCJW), WUED plays a vital role in convening judicial luminaries, legal scholars, and young learners to reflect upon justice, the rule of law, and the moral fabric of global governance. These exchanges empower students to see themselves as active participants in shaping a fairer and more compassionate world.

Beyond ICCJW, WUED leads a spectrum of skill-developing initiatives ranging from intercultural platforms for dialogue like Generation Global and peace-building programmes under CISV, to environmental sustainability projects that inspire local action for global impact. Each initiative strengthens students’ sense of shared humanity and their capacity to collaborate across cultures and ideologies.

In maintaining strategic partnerships with international organisations, schools, and embassies, WUED continues to expand CMS’s global footprint as a model institution for world unity education. Through its enduring efforts, the department ensures that every CMS student emerges not only as a scholar but as a responsible global citizen committed to peace, justice, and the unity of humankind.
