The opening session of the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World was held on 19th November 2025 at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, where thought-provoking perspectives shaped the intellectual landscape of the day. Shri Om Birla, Honourable Speaker Lok Sabha presided as the Chief Guest at the opening session. He delivered an incisive keynote address on the urgent need for inclusive global cooperation.

Shri Birla stated that in the rapidly changing global landscape, the need to reorganise the structure of the United Nations in accordance with contemporary challenges is relevant even today. India’s philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and the constitutional ideals of peace, harmony, and respect reinforce our global commitment. He added that this international conference, organised by CMS, is highly relevant for fostering a ‘harmonious future’ and ensuring a bright future for the coming generations.

Marking his presence as a Guest of Honour, Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi, Member of Rajya Sabha and Spokesperson of the Bhartiya Janta Party, reflected on India’s growing global stature and philosophical heritage. He remarked that the recently hosted G-20 Summit by India also echoed the sentiment of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
