Honourable Prof. Vesselin Popovski is Professor of International Relations at Soka University, Japan, and Executive Director of the Centre for the Study of the United Nations at O.P. Jindal Global University, India. Formerly Director of Research and Head of the Peace and Governance Programme at the United Nations University in Tokyo (2004–2014), he has authored or edited over 30 scholarly volumes and numerous articles on international law, global governance, and human rights. Professor Popovski has received research support from the Australian Research Council, Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and ERASMUS+. As an educator and policy thinker, he bridges theory and practice, contributing profoundly to debates on global justice and institutional reform.
