Host Campus: CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I

City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I holds a special place in the history of the institution, as it was one of the initial CMS campuses, established by the visionary founders, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi. Functioning for over six decades, the campus has remained a beacon of academic excellence, value-based education and holistic development, nurturing generations of responsible global citizens. Today, under the leadership of Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Managing Director of CMS, the campus continues to uphold the institution’s philosophy of “Jai Jagat” and education for world unity and peace.

The campus has flourished under the leadership of distinguished principals and educationists including Ms Saroj Gupta, Ms Sudarsh Kaur and Ms Deepa Tiwari. Since 2019, the campus has been guided by Senior Principal Mrs Jayashree Krishnan, whose visionary leadership, dedication and commitment have further strengthened its legacy of excellence. Alongside Principal Ms Khyati Lamba, she continues to inspire a culture of innovation, academic achievement and holistic growth.

A significant milestone in the campus’s journey came in 2003 with the inauguration of its expanded premises by the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Late Shri Vishnu Kant Shastri. The modern campus witnessed remarkable growth, increasing its student strength from approximately 1,100 to nearly 5,000 learners.

Today, the campus offers world-class infrastructure including smart classrooms, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer and Biotechnology laboratories, well-stocked libraries, an indoor swimming pool, activity centres for young learners, Astroturf facilities, basketball courts and other state-of-the-art learning spaces that foster excellence across academics, sports and the arts.

Offering education from Pre-Primary to ISC level, the campus has consistently produced outstanding academic results while encouraging students to excel in co-curricular activities, leadership, innovation and sports. It has also provided international exposure through prestigious global events such as QUEST – International Festival of Biotechnology, and during the pandemic successfully organised international virtual events including Cosplay International and COFAS International, demonstrating its commitment to innovation even in challenging times.

The campus has nurtured numerous distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions in public service, diplomacy, medicine, technology, academia and other professional fields.
