“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
This profound thought by Pablo Picasso beautifully mirrors our aspirations at City Montessori School, where we strive to nurture our students as compassionate human beings within an ever-evolving educational landscape. At CMS, we believe that to celebrate the power of imagination, one must also embrace the diversity of ideas and expression.
Therefore, we stimulate young minds through music, dance, art, and design, with the aim of engaging them in creative endeavours, encouraging imagination, and creating opportunities for creative expression. ‘Celesta International’, organised by CMS Aliganj Campus I is a meaningful step in this direction. This event encourages artistic aspirations and leads students toward realising the beauty of cultural diversity.
In today’s fast-changing world, it is important to celebrate our own heritage as well as cultures from around the world, because harmony begins with understanding and appreciation. Cultural events like Celesta bring young, creative minds together through shared experiences and meaningful connections. By participating in music, dance, art, photography, and design-based activities, students learn to express themselves more freely, think imaginatively, and engage with the world in a more thoughtful and empathetic way. Such experiences also nurture self-awareness, appreciation for diversity, and mutual respect, helping students become more open-minded, collaborative, and socially responsible individuals.
As we move closer to Celesta International 2026, I fondly remember our revered Founder-Manager, late Dr Jagdish Gandhi, whose vision and ideals continue to illuminate every meaningful initiative at City Montessori School. Celesta stands as a reflection of his deep belief in nurturing global citizenship, cultural understanding, and the creative potential of young minds.
I would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi, for her inspiring vision and continued belief in the transformative power of creativity and education. My heartfelt thanks goes to our Manager, Prof. Gita Gandhi Kingdon, whose constant support for creative excellence continues to strengthen and inspire all creative endeavours such as this.
No event of this scale is possible without the dedication of a committed team. I deeply appreciate the hard work and enthusiasm of the staff of CMS Aliganj Campus I, whose collective efforts make Celesta possible. A special note of thanks to Principal Mrs Shivani Singh for her leadership and commitment to nurturing students and creating platforms that help them discover and express their true potential.
I hope that these four days become a memorable and enriching experience for every participant, filled with creativity, connection, and moments to cherish for years to come.
