Host Campus
Founded on 30th June 1993 by visionary educationists Dr Jagdish Gandhi (Founder-Manager) and Dr Bharti Gandhi (Founder-Director), City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I stands as a centre of academic excellence, innovation, and value-based education. Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Mrs Shivani Singh, the campus nurtures strong foundational values while preparing students for a rapidly evolving global future.
Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the campus offers education from Montessori to Grade XII, with Science and Commerce streams at the ISC level. Expanding its global outlook, a Cambridge Section under Cambridge International Education was introduced in March 2023 and currently caters to Grades I to IX.
The campus provides a modern, future-ready learning environment with spacious smart classrooms; advanced laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Robotics; well-stocked libraries; sports facilities including a large swimming pool and a children’s splash pool; playgrounds; and a well-equipped infirmary. The contemporary campus building, inaugurated on 4 July 2012, reflects CMS’s vision for progressive architecture and education and is supported by an integrated ERP system for efficient academic and administrative management.
Continuing its commitment to innovation, the campus has recently introduced transformative learning spaces such as the Shux Courtyard, inaugurated by distinguished alumnus and astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. This hub integrates a MakerSpace, Robotics Lab, StudioPod, and Amphitheatre, promoting creativity, research orientation, and hands-on learning. The campus actively follows an experiential learning approach, encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem solving aligned with the development of 21st-century competencies.

Academic excellence is further strengthened through the Jai Jagat Section, which provides specialised mentoring for competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, and CLAT, along with personalised guidance through the Career Counselling Centre, career fairs, and the Study Abroad Programme.
As the proud host of Celesta International — the International Festival of Music & Dance, organised every alternate year, the campus serves as a vibrant platform for intercultural exchange and artistic expression, fostering appreciation for global diversity through the universal language of music and dance. The campus also organises the Model United Nations (MUN), promoting diplomacy, global awareness, and leadership among students.
Rooted in social responsibility, students actively participate in initiatives related to environmental conservation, animal welfare, and community service. Programmes such as Each One–Teach One and the Junior Youth Empowerment Programme (JYEP) nurture empathy, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose, shaping socially conscious global citizens.
Besides astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, the campus has, over the years, produced many distinguished alumni, including Aditya Srivastava (AIR 1, UPSC 2023), Sonali Giri, Neha Giri, Kriti Pandey, renowned designer Manish Tripathi, Ananya Choudhary, recipient of a full scholarship to Harvard University, and Narayan Srivastava, who was admitted to the University of Toronto with the prestigious Lester B. Pearson Scholarship.
With its commitment to academic rigour, innovation, global exposure, and character development, CMS Aliganj Campus I continues to shape future leaders who embody the CMS philosophy of Jai Jagat.
