City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II was established in the year 1984 by the school’s founders, Drs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi with just two students on its rolls. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon is the President and MD of City Montessori Schools. Under the nurturing care of its first Principal, Mrs Gauri Khanna, the number of students grew at such a fast pace that within ten years, new premises were needed and the entire campus was shifted to Aliganj Sector ‘O’ (now known as Aliganj Campus I) while the old premises were retained and new students enrolled. This old premise is known as Aliganj Campus II and provides education from playgroup to Class VIII.
At CMS Aliganj Campus II, the message of Love, Peace, Unity and Brotherhood is spread through various activities, the school organises. Children receive the best value – based education, which inculcates in them human values of kindness, love, happiness and trust worthiness guided by their self-sacrificing, teachers and inspired by the smiling face of their principal, Mrs Samvida Adhikari.
CMS Aliganj II Campus has set a high standard of education for its children so that they reach out for excellence in the ever widening field of knowledge.
The unique feature is its emphasis on Spoken English, value-based education and development of children’s talents in academics, music, games and sports. The campus organises Human Rights Day every year to raise consciousness for the need to recognize rights to all human beings equally especially women and children. Inter Branch Competitions on themes related to human rights like collage, painting, art, speech etc. for primary and junior classes are organized and attractive prizes are given to the winners.
Every day is a new beginning at the Campus. Under Mrs Samvida Adhikari’s care and supervision children are educated to excel in all things and develop their abilities with great emphasis on eloquent speech.
Character building education takes precedence above all things and Mrs Samvida Adhikari’s dedicated team of teachers leave no stone unturned to help the children to have a strong character. Model Classes are conducted regularly to focus on children’s oratory skills. Art and craft exhibitions, Annual Mother’s Day and sports Day are organized to motivate the students to realize their full potential in all fields of knowledge. The aim is to set high standards and help the children to reach for the sky.
