Lucknow, 9 December: The three-day International Environment Olympiad, ‘IEO-2021’ being organized by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II was inaugurated here today by Shri Swami Prasad Maurya, Labour Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh in the midst of scintillating educational-cultural programmes. Student delegations from 10 countries, viz. Vietnam, UK, Germany, Iran, Ireland, UAE, Qatar, USA, Australia and different parts of India will participate and display their skills and knowledge in this international event, while spreading awareness for environment conservation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Swami Prasad Maurya, Labour Minister, U.P. appealed to the teachers to sensitize the students towards environment protection and conservation. Shri Maurya expressed confidence that this Olympiad will play an important role in making the young generations aware of their responsibilities towards the environment.
