Meritorious ISC & ICSE students with CMS Founders Dr. Jagdish Gandhi,Dr. Bharti Gandhi and Chief Guest Mr. Rajendra Kumar Tiwari, IAS, Upper Chief Secretary, Secondary and

Meritorious CMS students once again created new records in the ISC and ICSE Board Examinations. In the ISC (Class XII) Board Examination, Vedanshi Tiwari of CMS Mahanagar Campus secured the 1st position in the state, and 2nd position in the national merit list, with 99.75 percent marks.

9 CMS students grabbed the 2nd state rank and the 3rd rank nationally in ISC, with 99.5 percent aggregate mark. They were: Ananya Kalra of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I; Astha Garg, Ahmad Rushan, Ayushi Saxena and Subrat Shukla of CMS Mahanagar Campus; Rwitick Ghosh of CMS Station Road Campus; Anand Sharma of CMS RDSO Campus and Aditya Singh and Dhruv Kushwaha of CMS Kanpur Road Campus. In addition, there were 8 CMS students on the 3rd position in the state merit list, with 99.25% marks. They were Ujjwal Mahendra Agarwal, Pranjal Srivastava, Chahat Singh and Ritwik Srivastava of CMS Mahanagar Campus; Nivriti Singh, Suyash Vardhan Mathur and Snehil Gupta of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I; and Akshansh Singh of CMS Kanpur Road Campus.

In the ICSE (Class X) Board examination, Radhika Gupta of CMS Mahanagar Campus secured the 1st position in the state and stood 2nd in the national merit list, with 99.40 % marks. 1 CMS student - Shashwat Verma of Gomti Nagar Campus II grabbed the 2nd state rank and the 3rd rank in ICSE nationally, with 99.20 % aggregate mark. Finally, 1 CMS student - Sanskriti Gautam of CMS Mahanagar Campus - also secured the 3rd rank in the state merit list, with 99.00 % mark.

A total of 2786 CMS students took the ISC Board Examination this year, out of which 1451 students or 52.1% secured between 90% to 99.75% marks. 506 students secured 95% and more marks, besides, 122 CMS students secured places in the Top 10 National ISC Merit List. Most other students too secured high percentage, bringing fame to the school on the national level. Similarly, a total of 3186 CMS students took the ICSE Board Examination this year, out of which, 1485 students or 46.7% secured between 90% to 99.50% marks. 491 students secured 95% and more marks, besides, 50 CMS students secured places in the Top 10 National ICSE Merit List.

Thus, a total of 5972 CMS students took the ISC & ICSE Board Examination this year, out of which 2938 students secured between 90% to 99.75% marks.

Dear Parents,

The board exam results of the ICSE and ISC exams 2019 declared on 7th May caused elation in all CMS campuses.We were delighted to have an All-India ISC second-rank holder with 99.75% agg. mark (Vedanshi Tiwari), and an All-India ICSE second rank holder with 99.40% agg. mark(Radhika Gupta).

9 CMS students also baggedthe national third rank in ISC, each with 99.5% aggregate mark (one pupil after reassessment of script). In total, an extraordinarily large number – 172 CMS students – were in the national top ten ranks of ICSE and ISC board exams 2019.

Overall, out of the 5972 CMS students who took the ICSE and ISC board exams, 2936 students (or 49.2%) secured 90% or above marks. 997 students (or 16.7 %) obtained 95% or above marks; 346 students (or 5.8%) got 97% or above marks and 140 students (or 2.3 %) got 98% or above marks !The other half of all students who obtained less than 90% aggregate mark have nevertheless performed very well, mostly with marks in the 80% plus bracket. The Cambridge section of CMS too, produced excellent results in its maiden year of the class X board exam with students being overall in the top 21 percentile of performers internationally.

I warmly congratulate all the CMS board students and their parents, teachers and principals, for their herculean efforts that have yielded such sweet victory.

The teachers’ thanksgiving event on 10th May was celebrated with great joy. The many student and teacher delegations going abroad, students who achieved laurels in the board exams and in the International Benchmark Test, and staff who won national ranks in the CENTA Teachers’ Professional Olympiad, were all honoured on stage.

In May, we also learnt of CMS students’ strong showing in various competitive examinations, e.g. the IIT Mains exam, state level National Talent Search (NTS)Examination (NTSE), and the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) scholarship.

Dr Jagdish Gandhi invited as Special Guest of Honour at International Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa

CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi will be the Special Guest of Honour at the 5th International Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa being held at Luanda, capital of Angola in Southern Africa, in June 2019. Besides Dr Jagdish Gandhi, the inaugural session of this international conference will be addressed by H.E. Mr Joao Lourenco, President of the Republic of Angola; Hon'ble Mr Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, Chief Justice of South Africa; Mrs Minata Samate, Representative of the African Union and Commissioner for Political Affairs and some other eminent personalities. Hon'ble Justice Dr Manuel da Costa Arago, Chief Justice of Constitutional Courts of Angola, has specially invited Dr Gandhi to attend this International Conference. Mr Sandeep Srivastava, CMS's Project Leader of the 'International Conference of Chief Justices of the World' will accompany Dr Gandhi.

Teachers Thanksgiving Function and Character-building march

As the school started to close for the summer vacations and the session 2018-19 drew to a close, CMS organized a grand 'Teachers Thanksgiving and Felicitation Ceremony' on 10 May at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium. CMS Founders Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti Gandhi welcomed the esteemed and devoted teachers at the Felicitation and Thanksgiving Function. Chief Guest Dr Ajit Kumar Jha, Editor (Research), India Today magazine, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp of learning. Head of CMS Quality Assurance and Innovation Department, Ms Susmita Basu welcomed the Chief Guest and other important dignitaries at the function. Addressing the audience, she highlighted the glorious achievements of CMS throughout the year amidst scintillating educational-cultural presentations by CMS teachers. The school felicitated the meritorious students and high achievers on this occasion and also honoured their parents and teachers. Earlier, in the morning, over 3000 CMS teachers took out a huge Character Building March to reaffirm the importance of teachers in character building and moral upliftment of the younger generation.

Eight CMS students qualify for KVPY Scholarship of Rs. 4,92,000/- each for higher education in science

As many as eight students have qualified for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY Fellowship) of the Government of India for pursuing higher studies and research in the field of science. The students are Aditya Pandey, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I; Kumar Pratyush, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I; Shivang Pandey, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I; Kanad Pandey, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II; Aryan Agarwal, CMS Kanpur Road; Parth Bansal, CMS Kanpur Road, Ayush Kumar Dwivedi, Class XI, CMS Mahanagar; and Vinayak Patel, CMS Aliganj I. Each of these students will be receiving a scholarship of Rs. 5000/- per month and Rs. 20,000/- as annual contingency grant during the 1st to 3rd year of graduation. At M.Sc. level course, each student will be getting a monthly stipend of Rs. 7000/- per month and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 28,000/-. Thus, every selected student will be getting a scholarship of Rs. 4,92,000/- during five years of higher education.

74 CMS students offered admissions abroad

This year, until May 25, as many as 74 bright students of CMS have got admission offers from prestigious universities of UK, USA, Finland, Japan, Australia, Germany, Canada and Spain. Many have been offered 100% scholarships by prestigious universities in these countries. The break-up of students is as follows: Mahanagar- 16; Gomti Nagar I - 23; Kanpur Road-17, Gomti Nagar II - 3, Aliganj - 3, Chowk Campus - 2, Rajendra Nagar I - 3, Rajajipuram - 4 and Station Road - 3.

79 students qualify in state-level NTS Exam

CMS proudly announces the selection of 79 of its students in the state-level National Talent Search Examination held on 4th November 2018. Out total 1510 students selected from Uttar Pradesh, 195 students are from Lucknow. Of these, 79 students are from CMS alone, while 116 students belong to all the other schools of Lucknow taken together.
