The school creates a stimulating learning environment that both supports and challenges the individual student.
It promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment.
Dance, debating, sport, Indian and Western music (with the option for individual music lessons), elocution, foreign language classes, public speaking, community service, and foreign visit opportunities are used to expand minds and shape young personalities.

Students aged 11-13 are emerging as junior youth and curious adolescents. The foundations of solid learning laid here set the stage for academic success in the senior years.

CMS identifies five key aspects occurring in transition from childhood to adulthood, which form the foundation of learning during the Junior years.

Intellectual

Students have opportunities to be curious and to have their thinking extended and challenged through activities like debating, public speaking, and participation in international events

Social

Students’ need to be social and to know about themselves, is met through a culturally responsive programme like involvement in community service and a classroom culture that celebrates diversity.

Physical

The programme caters well for students’ needs to be physically active through sports and games, dance and inculcating in them life skills like yoga and meditation.

Emotional and psychological

Teachers are sensitive to the emotional and psychological changes that are happening to students.

Moral

With their new sense of the larger world around them, young adolescent learners are idealistic and want to have an impact on making the world a better place. There are opportunities for students through Junior Youth Empowerment Programme to participate in decision-making that affects their life within the school.
