CONCEPT NOTE

In 1964, UNESCO declared in its foundational education charter that “since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed”

It is against this backdrop that CMS Mahanagar Campus proudly presents Reflections International 2025, an annual event designed to empower young minds to examine the past, understand the present, and shape tomorrow’s world driven by a commitment to positive change. By revisiting the struggles, victories, and visionary actions of humanity, young learners discover how societies evolve and how they themselves hold the power to shape a more just and peaceful world.

Reflections International 2025 aims to foster:

  • Interdisciplinary Learning: Students connect history, civics, law, economics, and psychology to explore the dynamic forces that shape societies and futures.
  • Critical Thinking: Participants learn to derive valuable lessons from past experiences, fostering analytical skills essential for informed decision-making.
  • Leadership Formation: The competitions cultivate socially responsible citizens and future leaders who understand the complexities of governance and social change.
  • Cultural Understanding: Students from diverse backgrounds engage in meaningful dialogue, building bridges of understanding across communities.
  • Global Perspective: Emphasis on education, cultural legacy, ethical leadership, and global unity creates a comprehensive worldview.
  • Practical Application: Learning transcends classroom boundaries, demonstrating that knowledge extends beyond textbooks to real-world impact and transformation.

As the world witnessed recently with the history-making feat of CMS alumnus and National Hero, Gaganyatri Shubhanshu Shukla (Shux), the first Indian astronaut to serve aboard the International Space Station, young people have the power to turn dreams into destiny. Reflections International 2025 invites students everywhere to embrace this responsibility: to learn, to lead, and to shape history.
