City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I, established in 1959 by the school’s founders, Drs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi has been an edifice of quality education and holistic development of the children since its inception. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon is the President & MD of the institution. The campus has been marching forward each year towards the pinnacle of glory and success since its inception. The campus has witnessed the leadership of Ms. Saroj Gupta, Ms. Sudarsh Kaur and Ms. Deepa Tiwari until 2019 when the responsibility of the campus was taken up by Mrs Jayashree Krishnan whose devotion, dedication and enthusiasm has added many new feathers to the cap.
The campus witnessed the rise in the number of students from 1100 to 5000 after the inauguration of the new campus in 2003 by the Governor of UP Late Shri Vishnu Kant Shastri. The Campus is an architectural innovation with an indoor swimming pool, science labs, well stocked libraries, activity centre for kids, astroturf, Basket Ball court, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, Biotech labs and spacious classrooms fully equipped with Smart boards to use technology in the classroom teaching.
High in academic excellence and rapid in progress in various fields of knowledge, music, art and dance, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I stands out as an epitome of peace and progress, commonly known as Peace Building. The Campus provides education right from the formative Pre Primary to ISC level and the students are doing extremely well in academics as well as in co-curricular and sports activities.
To give international exposure to the students, the campus organized QUEST, International Festival of Biotechnology every alternate year from 2009 to 2015 in which large number of students participated from India and abroad.
When the entire world came to a halt because of the pandemic, the campus kept on moving ahead with its innovative ideas and organized two international events online: Cosplay International and Cofas International. Both the events proved to be a great success.
In 1989 the school became an ICSE branch and in 2004 the ISC classes were added. Since its inception, the campus has given many students who excelled in their fields like Dr. Saurabh Chandra, Dr. Subodh Agarwal, Dr. Shalini Chandra, Dr. Harsh Pathak (specialist doctors) Mr. Shadab Ahmed (IT Engineer in London), Ms. Kritika Jaiswal (IAS), Mrs. Kamna Dubey (PCS), Roshni Jain (celebrity stylist), Sujoy Bose (pursuing MBBS from KGMU).
Our students of 2021 batch: Syed Ahmed Sabaat, Kashish Agarwal, Shashwat Bajpayi have got admission on scholarship in top rated universities of the world.
