City Montessori School Rajajipuram Campus I, Lucknow, is delighted to share yet another moment of international honour as its students and educators were recognised at the Global Sustainability Awards 2025, organised by ARC in collaboration with CITTA Education Foundation India, TERI, and Earth Day Network. The award ceremony was hosted at Miranda College, New Delhi. The award ceremony aims to celebrate unparalleled contributions by students, teachers, non-teaching staff, and schools towards advancing the spirit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). It brought together changemakers from across the nation — individuals who are driving transformation in their communities through education, innovation, environmental stewardship and responsible action.
Celebrating the Outstanding Success of Achievers

Our student, Aarush Mishra, received the Global Sustainability Award (Senior Category) under SDG 4 – Quality Education. His recognition highlights a profound understanding of the importance of equitable, accessible and inclusive education, and his ongoing efforts to ensure learning reaches every child resonated strongly with the jury.

Ms Shweta Awasthi, Cambridge educator and Environment Coordinator, CMS Rajajipuram Campus I was awarded the title of SDG Ambassador from India, in addition to being recognised as a winner in the category ‘UN SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities’. Her contributions reflect an unwavering commitment to ensuring equality, compassion and inclusion, particularly for marginalised and underserved groups. Her recognition as an SDG Ambassador reinforces her role as a visionary educator who leads with empathy, purpose and transformative action.
The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries and leading experts in environmental education and sustainability, making it a memorable convergence of thought leadership, innovation and advocacy. It was a celebration of dedication, resilience and collective responsibility — a reminder that sustainability is a shared journey. It also reinforces the school’s mission of nurturing global citizens who think deeply, act ethically and contribute positively to society and the environment.
