Message from the Founder-Director

Dr Bharti Gandhi
Founder-Director
City Montessori School
These words guided my dear husband and the Founder of City Montessori School, the late Dr Jagdish Gandhi, who dedicated his life to promoting the ideals of human unity and global peace. He always believed that education must be a “powerful instrument” for transformation. Today, as we present the 11th Odyssey International Literary Olympiad, we carry his visionary legacy forward, using literature to address the most urgent challenge of our time: the restoration of our planet.
In an era of urgent ecological challenges, Odyssey 2026 transcends mere competition; it marks a new literary awakening where creativity evolves into purposeful action. This prestigious platform empowers students from across the globe to blend artistic excellence with deep environmental consciousness. By honing their skills in writing, performance, and innovation, participants contribute to a vital global dialogue on consumerism, waste, and renewal. Our theme, “Literature for Lasting Earth”, challenges young creators to transform environmental urgency into lyrical beauty and visionary solutions, ensuring that every story told becomes a seed for a greener future.
This festival is a symphony of human expression, fostering cross-cultural friendships, teamwork, and leadership—qualities that were dear to Dr Gandhi and are essential for tomorrow’s changemakers. We are proud to feature diverse international and national participation, with dedicated guidelines ensuring a truly global exchange of ideas. Our commitment to holistic development is reflected in events like the “Rhythm of Renewal” Broadway stage, the “Ecopreneurs Mind Tank” for sustainable business models, and “Theatre Sans Frontières”, which unites students across borders through collaborative performance. Each original, English-medium creation serves as both an artistic triumph and an environmental manifesto. This aligns deeply with CMS’s commitment to holistic development through the performing and visual arts.
I wholeheartedly invite all educational institutions, principals, and students to join us in this transformative journey from August 11th to 14th, 2026. Let us come together as a united global community to script a new chapter of hope and illuminate the world with the visionary dreams of today. Your presence and participation are what make this event a resounding success year after year. Join us as we strive to make this 11th edition an even grander achievement than its predecessors, proving that through the immortal power of words, we can indeed forge a lasting legacy for our Earth.
Jai Jagat.
