Hashtag Chronicles (Social Media Story Challenge)

Event Summary:

Participants will create an Instagram/Facebook-style video that captures the essence of Odyssey 2026. The drafts should highlight important moments, performances, guests, emotions, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and even short interviews with participants or guests.

The drafts must creatively integrate short captions, impactful quotes, mini reflections, and relevant visuals (photos, illustrations, or simple graphics) to offer viewers a dynamic and engaging overview of the event.

Objective

This event empowers participants to document and showcase the highlights of the programme through creative digital coverage. It encourages them to capture key moments, interactions, and insights using concise writing, visual storytelling, and engaging presentation formats.

The experience aims to develop skills in event reporting, observation, design, and audience engagement, while promoting wider awareness and appreciation of the event.

Competition Norms

  • This competition is open to participants in the Senior Category.
  • A total of three hours will be allotted for creating the event coverage video.
  • Two participants will represent each team.
  • Each team must create a single Instagram/Facebook-style post that documents and highlights Odyssey 2026 in a chronological and engaging manner.
  • The draft should simulate a social media post with a duration of one minute when exported as a video. All drafts must follow a 1:1 ratio.
  • The content should emphasise key moments, guest interactions, performances, emotions, takeaways, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and interviews of participants or guests.
  • Participants may use any online digital or multimedia platform for designing and editing their video.
  • Participants may use smartphones, tablets, or cameras. External microphones are allowed; however, drones or high-end broadcast equipment are not permitted.
  • Participants must bring personal wired headphones/earphones for editing and playback purposes.
  • Participants should carry their own pen drives for data transfer.
  • Text, images, audio, and graphics should be visually appealing and audience-friendly.
  • No copyrighted material (images, audio, videos, or graphics) may be used without proof of permission.
  • Submission format: MP4 (A Google Drive link for uploading will be provided at the venue).
  • The best coverage outputs will be uploaded on our official social media handles after the results are announced.
