Theme & Event Summary: A City Reborn from Waste

Objective
The primary objective of this competition is to encourage creativity and innovation by inspiring participants to explore unconventional ideas and experiment with diverse materials. It aims to enhance spatial awareness, helping artists understand and manipulate space, perspective, and the way viewers interact with their work.
Competition Norms
- This competition is open to participants in the Senior Category.
- Each team will consist of four students.
- Teams will be given three hours to create the installation artefact.
- At least 70% recycled or upcycled materials must be used. The use of hazardous materials, including chemicals, sharp metal objects, or fire-based items, is strictly prohibited.
- Teams are required to bring all necessary materials for the event. The organisers will not provide or be responsible for any materials or tools.
- Each team will be allotted a fixed floor space measuring 6 ft × 6 ft. The three-dimensional structure must remain within the allocated space.
- Only school-approved tools, such as scissors, glue guns, tapes, and ropes, may be used. Drilling, hammering, or electrical machinery is not permitted.
- Teams must maintain cleanliness in their designated area during and after the competition.
- The artwork must be original and created on-site. Pre-made models or components are not permitted.
- A verbal explanation of the concept, lasting one to two minutes, is mandatory. Teams must justify the theme, relevance, and use of recycled materials in their installation.
