Rules & Regulations
To ensure the smooth and successful conduct of Odyssey 2026, participating schools are kindly requested to adhere to the following rules and guidelines.
1. Team Composition
- Each participating school team should comprise seventeen student participants.
- Each team will be accompanied by two team leaders.
- Principals accompanying the teams will be recognised as Guests of Honour during the event.
- A maximum of eight participants from the Senior Category (Classes XI and XII) and eight participants from the Junior Category (Classes VIII, IX and X) may be included in the team.
- One additional student should be nominated for participation in the special collaborative production.
2. Registration & Participation Confirmation
- Participation slots are limited, and confirmation will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Schools are therefore kindly requested to confirm their participation at the earliest.
- Schools must confirm participation by email through the prescribed format by 1 June 2026.
- The registration form along with the travel details form must be submitted by 20 July 2026.
- Teams must verify the names of all participants before registration and submit a final verified list on the school letterhead, duly signed by the Head of the Institution, by 31 July 2026.
- All entries must be complete in all respects and duly signed by the Head of the Institution.
- Entries that do not comply with the rules specified for each competition may be liable for disqualification.
3. Registration Fees & Payment
- A registration fee of INR 2,000 per participant will be charged for national teams.
- International teams will be charged a registration fee of USD 20 per participant.
- Principals, team leaders and local teams are exempt from the registration fee.
- The registration fee should be paid via Demand Draft in favour of City Montessori School, Lucknow.
- The Demand Draft may either be sent along with the registration form or submitted at the time of registration upon arrival.
4. Arrival & On-site Registration
- All national and international teams are requested to reach Lucknow and report to the Control Desk at CMS WUCC, Kanpur Road, by 9:00 a.m. on 10 August 2026.
- Registration for local teams will take place on 10 August 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Goodwill Building Control Room.
- During registration, each team will be assigned a Team Buddy who will assist and facilitate the team’s participation throughout the event.
5. Event Participation Guidelines
- Participation in all events is encouraged but not mandatory.
- However, only teams participating in all events will be eligible to compete for the Championship Trophy.
- As part of the Inaugural Ceremony, each participating school is requested to prepare a multimedia presentation introducing their school, principal, team leaders and participants.
- The presentation should include a maximum of 10 slides, along with the school logo and principal’s photograph.
- Teams must also carry their school flag for the ceremonial procession.
- Multimedia submissions should be in the prescribed formats only:
- Videos – MP4
- Images – JPG / PNG
- The presentation must also be submitted online by 31 July 2026.
- The official medium for all presentations and performances will be English.
6. Schedule & Communication
- Team leaders and participants must assemble in the Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. sharp each day for the morning prayer assembly.
- All official notices will be displayed outside the Control Room, and team leaders are requested to keep their teams informed.
- Teams are kindly requested to strictly adhere to the schedule of events and timings mentioned in the programme.
7. Accommodation & Meals
- Accommodation will be provided only for outstation teams and their team leaders.
- Non-participants will not be accommodated by the organisers.
- Schools must inform the organisers in advance in case of any change in the number of participants.
- Early arrival or additional stay beyond the official event duration will not be permitted.
- Outstation teams and team leaders are required to remain present at the venue throughout the event from 10–14 August 2026.
- Participants are advised to take adequate care of their personal belongings.
Meal Timings
- Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.
- Lunch: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Dinner: 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Note: On 11 August 2026, lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Participants are kindly requested to adhere to the meal timings.
8. Dress Code
Participants are required to wear their respective school uniforms throughout the day, except during events that specifically require costumes or thematic attire.
9. Discipline & Conduct
- Participants are expected to maintain proper discipline and decorum throughout their stay.
- Relatives or friends will not be permitted to meet participants until the conclusion of all Odyssey events.
- Neither participants nor team leaders will be permitted to remain in their rooms during event hours.
- The team leader will be responsible for the conduct and discipline of their team members.
- Teams are requested to cooperate with their assigned Team Buddies and maintain punctuality at all times.
- Participants must report to the Control Room before leaving the school premises for security purposes.
10. Health & Safety
- First aid facilities will be available free of charge at the venue.
- Any additional medical services required will be chargeable.
11. Identity Verification & Documentation
- Each participant must submit a photocopy of their Aadhaar Card (for national teams) or passport (for international teams) at the time of registration.
- Schools must ensure that all documentation and entries are complete and submitted within the prescribed deadlines.
12. Judgement of Events
- All events will be evaluated by eminent judges who are experts in their respective fields.
- The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
