Team comprising Shanvi Dixit, Prakhar Tripathi & Harshit Yadav of Class X won the second prize for their enactment of the play 'Merchant of Venice' at Literati 2019 organised by Hoerner College.

On the occasion of SBI Green Marathon held at 1090 crossing, Gomti Nagar, on 15 September, Rajveer Singh of Class VI bagged the third prize. He received the prize from the Mayor of Lucknow, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia.

Satakshi Pal, Arpit Tiwari and Amitansh - VIII and Varuni Mishra - VI won prizes in Scientoon Quiz and Debate contests organised at Regional Science Centre.

The ace photographer, Mr Najeeb Aziz visited the campus and spoke about photography as an unconventional career. He is associated with National Geographic channel for the last 21 years. Well known for his shoots with actors like Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh et al, he was also associated with fashion magazine, Vogue.

Manassvi Kesarwani and Anoushka Gupta of Class XI won the second prize in Elysian Theatre (movie making) and third prize in Socrates Speaketh contest at Reflections International organised by CMS Mahanagar Campus. Students of pre-primary section of the campus visited Old Age Home 'Samarpan' to bestow their love to the old people living there.

The campus celebrated Daan Utsav on 3rd October to pay respects to the Karmyogi, Mahatma Gandhi.

Hurain, Yastika and Muskaan of Class VII organized an EVS quiz in a section of Class I to V to test the knowledge of the students about the environment. Many other activities like plastic bottle recycling were organized by the Eco Club members under the guidance of environment coordinator, Mr Kailash Keswani.

Three students of pre-primary section, Varnika Soni, Krishita Soni and Vrinika Soni demonstrated the virtue of generosity by donating clothes for underprivileged children in 'Sapne Mere Sach' programme organized by Innovative Pathshala at Buddha Research Centre. Agrima Bhatnagar bagged a gold medal in 800m race at the inter-campus Athletic meet organized by CMS QAID. At this event, Ibrahim Khan won the gold medal in shotputt, Roshini, Swastika, Agrima and Saumya won the silver medal in 4x100m relay and Yash chaturvedi and Saumya Deshmukh won the silver medal in discus throw.

Anirudhh Pratap Singh and Satakshi Singh bagged a silver and bronze medal at the inter-school Aquatic Championship at Banglore and were selected for SGFI Swimming and Diving National Championship.

Gandhi Solar Yatra

On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Gomti Nagar Campus II made an effort to follow in the footsteps of Bapu by organizing 'Gandhi Solar Yatra', a workshop aimed at teaching young children about harnessing energy from the power of Sun and reduce the reliance on conventional energy sources. The workshop was organized in collaboration with IIT Mumbai and saw the participation of over 700 enthusiastic students from different CMS campuses. The workshop was held at CMS Gomti Nagar Extension campus under the guidance of Senior Principal, Miss Manjit Batra and Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Banerjee, coordinated by Environment Coordinator, Mrs Shalini Srivastava.

On 3rd October, FSSAI started an awareness campaign called ‘Eat Right India at CMS Gomti Nagar II. Eminent guests included Mr Rahul Singh, Additional Commissioner FSDA, Dr Anita Bhatnagar Jain, Additional Chief Secretary FSDA, Mrs Ministhy S., IAS and Commissioner FSDA, Mr V. K Verma, Assistant Commissioner Food, and Mr Nagendra Singh, Executive Chef Taj. Senior Principal, Ms Manjit Batra and Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Banerjee welcomed the guests. Dr Ankita Yadav, Food Safety Officer, gave students some simple techniques to detect adulteration in milk,coffee,spices,tea and honey. Mr Nagendra underlined the importance beginning the day with nutritious food.
