CMS reached yet another milestone with the prestigious Guinness Book of Records recognizing it again as the World's Largest School by Pupils in its latest print edition. The Guinness book quoting the enrolment figures of 2019, says, 'The largest school in terms of pupils is the City Montessori School in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, which had 55,547 pupils as of 16 Jan 2019, across 18 campuses in the city. The school was founded in 1959 by Dr Jagdish Gandhi and his wife Dr Bharti Gandhi (both India) in rented premises with five students.'
It may be mentioned that CMS first gained its entry as the World's Largest School by pupils in the Guinness World Records way back in the year 1999 with an enrolment of 22,612 pupils and has since then maintained its status as the World's Largest School with regular certifications from the Guinness World Records. This is the third time when the school has figured in the print edition of Guinness Book of Records which carries only the world's most unique records.
CMS Founder-Manager Dr Jagdish Gandhi thanked the Guinness Book management for acknowledging CMS efforts. He said, "Our school is not only about size. The phenomenal growth of CMS is a reflection of our strenuous efforts to the delight and surprise parents with our educational system. He also thanked the people of Lucknow for reposing faith in the CMS teaching methodology which is well reflected in the enrolment figures of the school.
