CMS alumni on ladder of success

Oshi Garg

Alumna of Mahangar Campus, studying at Hong Kong University

Oshi Garg is a brilliant student of CMS Mahanagar Campus, whose hard work and continued effort helped her to earn 100% scholarship for higher studies in Hong Kong University.

Oshi is well on her way, scripting a story of success at Hong Kong University. She is pursuing Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. She says that Hong Kong University has a gigantic campus, always replete with vibrancy, sheer energy and vivacity. There’s lots of diversity- you can find people from practically all regions of the world. The academics are great, with an amazing faculty, intensive curriculum and well-equipped huge labs for each department. She says "I'd definitely recommend Hong Kong University to everyone. I remember I personally had a lot of apprehensions and worries before actually coming to Hong Kong University, since I was the first in my family to venture abroad for under-graduation and I had pretty decent options in India as well. But I have definitely got to say, it's one of the best decisions I ever took in my life and I couldn't be happier about it. The kind of environment, support and exposure I've had here is just truly amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. Most importantly, there are a lot of entrance scholarships as well as scholarships for existing students which makes education fulfilling and rewarding."

Further, she says, "I definitely owe a lot to CMS when it comes to me studying abroad presently. The Career Counselling Cell of CMS has been my best friend and support throughout, from organizing information sessions about studying abroad, to raising awareness about scholarships, it really urged me to look out into the global realm."

Oshi feels that CMS's alumni network is amazing. Her advice to juniors: "You can reach out to the Career Counselling Cell who'll connect you to the right person if possible. Interact and discuss actively with your peers and family as well as take regular guidance from your teachers and campus counsellors! Focus on your academics and participate regularly in extra-curricular activities, as it'll always keep you on a higher pedestal in the college applications. Good luck!"
