CMS alumni on ladder of success

Aishwarya Nanda,
selected in PCS Rank 151 Alumnus of CMS Aliganj I

Aishwarya Nanda is one of those few students who are self-motivated and work to realize their aim in life with passion. Selected in the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Examination 2016 on Rank 151, , he recalls the moments of joy and learning at CMS Aliganj Campus where he studied from Class VII to XII (ISC), and cleared his Boards -both Class X

(ICSE) and Class XII (ISC in 2008) with high scores. “I remember Hon’ble Dr. Jagdish Gandhi since my first day at school because the same day he had visited Aliganj branch and delivered a beautiful speech. I still remember the motivational elements he used to have in his speeches. Along with motivation the most important thing he always used to say was that – “change is inevitable and one must never get extremely sad or happy in a situation”. These words helped me throughout my student life, when I was preparing for engineering entrance exam, during my engineering years and even when I was preparing for PCS.”

Aishwarya’s mother, Mrs Kiran Nanda is a home-maker and his father, Dr S.K. Nanda is a doctor. He feels greatly inspired by his parents as well as by his uncle who is in the police. Remembering the school days, he says, “School life is always full of fond memories for every person. It is one of the most beautiful time periods in one’s life. I also have many beautiful memories attached with my school life. One that I always remember is the moment when I got the opportunity to become the anchor of the Class Presentation of my class when I was in class ninth. Before that day I always had the sense of fear of being on stage and speaking but that day everything changed and overcoming that fear a foundation for public speaking was instilled in me.”

On his teachers, he says, “I’m really thankful for every teacher without whom nothing could have been possible. I would like to especially mention some names: Tripti Bhargav Ma’am, Rima Modi Ma’am, Vandana Ma’am, Vera Hajela Ma’am, Prerna Ma’am and Rajnish Sir for their wonderful guidance and eternal blessings.”

He outlines his strategy for the PCS Exam saying, “For PCS exam there are two kinds of preparation for which one must be ready to deal with. First is the collection of books and materials according to the syllabus. I did not attend any coaching class for my preparation; rather I studied the available material and books and revised them many times. Secondly, a strong will and mental focus is required. One must keep faith and this faith eventually leads to success. I would even say that the second requirement is the most important thing for the preparations.”
