Journey at CMS

Dr Mrs Rachna Goel has been associated with City Montessori School since 2010, when she began her journey as a dedicated primary school educator at CMS Rajajipuram Campus I. Over the years, CMS has been both her workplace and her learning ground, playing a significant role in shaping her educational philosophy, leadership approach, and commitment to holistic child development.

From nurturing foundational skills in the classroom to leading the Primary section, her professional journey reflects sustained growth, resilience, and purpose. Guided by CMS values of character building, confidence, global outlook, and lifelong learning, she has progressed through key leadership roles, including Grade 3 Coordinator, Primary In-Charge, and presently, Headmistress of the upcoming CMS Jankipuram Campus, Lucknow.

Professional Endeavours

A strong proponent of spoken English, leadership development, and effective communication, Dr Goel has consistently provided students with meaningful platforms such as assemblies, class presentations, inter-house competitions, debates, and town halls, enabling them to articulate their ideas with confidence and clarity.

In response to evolving educational practices, she successfully led the introduction of IBT and competency-based CSSL examinations for Grades 3 to 5 during her tenure as Primary In-Charge at CMS Rajajipuram Campus I. This initiative supported a smooth shift from rote learning to conceptual understanding and application-based assessment. Regular parent orientation programmes and focused interactions further strengthened home–school partnerships and facilitated this pedagogical transition.

Through initiatives such as personalised academic support and frequent small-group parent meetings, a strong culture of trust and collaboration was fostered among parents, teachers, and students. These efforts contributed to remarkable growth in student enrolment from 325 students to over 3,200 in the current academic session at CMS Rajajipuram Campus I. Under her leadership, students from Montessori to Grade 5 have confidently showcased their talents through model class presentations, project-based culminations, cultural programmes, and inter-house competitions, excelling across academics, the arts, and sports.

Student voice and empowerment remain central to her educational ethos. Leadership responsibilities entrusted to Student Council members from Kindergarten to Grade 5 have nurtured early leadership skills, responsibility, and peer mentoring.

Future Vision

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), Dr Goel is committed to steering CMS Jankipuram towards innovative pedagogy, competency-based assessments, creativity, and experiential learning. As Headmistress, her vision is to nurture confident communicators, critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, and responsible global citizens who are deeply rooted in strong values and well prepared for future challenges. With a clear sense of purpose, she aims to create a learning environment defined by excellence, integrity, and holistic development where students can thrive.
