\nThe first two decades of the century have seen drastic changes in global relationships. A new inter-connected world order governed by qualitative changes in education, industrial development and environmental consciousness is in the offing. Quality leadership, interfaith dialogue and development of global perspective will be the sole arbitrator in the brave new world. Needless to say, quality in any sphere can be ensured only by persons committed to it.<\/p>\n
The quality empowerment process, as a mass movement, also includes creating a culture from the grass roots level to the highest echelons of society wherein everyone does one’s job to the best of one’s ability and takes pride in it. Quality is not only words. It is people who can walk the talk, it is about quality people.<\/p>\n
The people with social awareness, positive outlook, commitment, leadership and a desire to excel have to be trained from the beginning so that they can inculcate the sense of quality consciousness through experiential learning, critical thinking and holistic education that trains both the head and the heart. We do not need mere academic excellence, we also need value based education.<\/p>\n
Empowerment programmes like Quality Circles as an integral part of TQM have the potential to foster the inculcation of the 6C\u2019s of Quality Education. Such an education can help in character building and personality development of the students. Infact, the revolutionary concept of \u2018Kaizen\u2019 can produce \u2018Total Quality Global Citizens\u2019 and \u2018Total Quality Human Beings\u2019.<\/p>\n
On behalf of the organisers of ICSQC-2024, when we celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Quality Circles movement, we cordially invite you to take part in this historic event. Join us in the grand celebrations to promote quality and unity in all spheres of life by sharing your innovative visions, ideas and methodologies for reshaping and redefining the role of education in the contemporary times.<\/p>\n
